RedInkAI creates a clear, timestamped record of your writing process — every draft, every prompt, every edit.
So when "Did you really write this?" comes up, you don't explain. You just show.

The moment this matters
Suddenly, you're explaining instead of showing. Reaching for screenshots. Searching old chats. Trying to remember exactly when you wrote what.
The reframe
RedInkAI runs quietly while you write. It captures every draft, every prompt, every revision — timestamped, hash-chained, and yours. When the question comes, you don't argue. You hand over a packet that already exists.
Use it when you need it. RedInkAI is not a daily habit — it's the receipt you reach for when someone asks.
Why this exists
Midway through writing a middle-grade adventure novel, the words stopped coming. So I did what any writer in 2026 does: I turned to AI for help. The prose came back polished. Competent. And it sounded nothing like me.
I didn't need a tool that writes. I needed one that thinks with me, and proves the work is still mine.
That's why RedInkAI exists. For every novelist, journalist, op-ed writer, and researcher who wants to use AI without losing their voice, and who wants the receipts to prove it. Authenticity first. Verification second. Both, always.
Built by one person
S.A. Everhart
I read every founder email myself. If something here doesn't fit your situation — or you want to talk to a real person before paying anyone $10 — write to me.
The hardest question we get
Short answer: no. The whole point of RedInkAI is that post-hoc reconstruction is detectable. Here is what makes that true.
Every consultation is logged the moment it happens, with a server-side timestamp the user cannot edit. There is no "save" button on the record. The record IS the session.
Each event is hashed into the previous event. Insert a new event in the middle, and every subsequent hash breaks. The chain detects any tampering, including by us.
Once a session is locked for an attestation, the record is immutable. Subsequent edits create a new session linked to the previous one, preserving the audit trail of revisions.
Anyone, including your editor or integrity officer, can verify any attestation at /verify/{id} without trusting RedInkAI. The math checks out, or the chain breaks visibly.
Open testing
Our adversarial test suite (21 tests covering hash tampering, timestamp spoofing, lock bypass, and cross-user access attempts) runs against every release. Results are public.

Frequently Asked Questions
RedInkAI is a guidance and accountability platform for writers and professionals. Unlike generative AI tools that write for you, RedInkAI provides document-specific guidance that helps you think and write while documenting your process through InkTrail, our proprietary traceability system.
Guidance credits are how RedInkAI measures usage on the Free plan. Each time you ask for document-specific guidance, that uses one credit. You start with 25 free credits — enough to take a full essay or paper to a finished, attestable artifact. Premium, Student, and Professional plans include unlimited guidance.
InkTrail is RedInkAI's authorship traceability system. It captures a structured, timestamped record of your writing process, including guidance interactions, manuscript drafts, and editorial decisions. This creates an exportable audit trail that proves your authentic contribution to any AI-assisted work.
An attestation report is a professional document generated from your InkTrail that verifies your authorship process. It includes a timeline of your writing journey, documentation of AI guidance used, and a signature line for formal attestation. Available on the Professional plan.
Most AI tools focus on generating content for you. RedInkAI focuses on guiding your thinking while you write, then documenting that you, not the AI, made the key decisions. We provide guidance, not ghostwriting. Your voice stays at the center.
Anyone whose professional credibility depends on their writing: lawyers drafting contracts, researchers publishing papers, authors working with publishers, consultants delivering reports, and knowledge professionals in regulated industries. As AI becomes ubiquitous, proving human judgment becomes essential.
TrailMap is a visual timeline feature that shows how your writing project evolved from initial idea to final draft. It automatically captures milestones like character introductions, plot developments, revisions, and completed sections, giving you a clear view of your creative journey.
An accountability platform demands accountability from itself. Here's how we earn your trust.
